Essex Senior League

Saturday 2nd October 2004

From the first minute Manor took control and forced a corner. Swung into the far post Lee Whitelock went up with the keeper and the keeper winning a free kick. 6 mins Forde breaks through after neat one two with Felice and the keeper parries out for Manors 4th corner which again was wasted. 11mins Quinn and Hullbridge number 8 have a small tangle which results in both players booked and two 2 minutes later Whitelock upends the same Hullbridge player which earns him a yellow. 14 minutes after good work from Tony Marsh, Quinn passes to Forde who takes it round 3 players and stabs the ball home. Manor now in complete control and creating chance after chance then Whitelock retaliates to a challenge and is given his second yellow. Manor were still easily the better team with Forde, Felice and Quinn ruing missed chances.1-0 at the break. Second half begins and within two minutes Manor down to 9 men Forde being fouled gets the foul then swears at the ref, straight RED. Hullbridge playing with the wind then push on in numbers but are constantly thwarted by the super Manor back four. Hullbridge do equalise when Grant Smith concedes possesion in his own area and the Hullbridge forward makes no mistake. Both sides then had chances to win the game and Hullbridge had a player sent off with four minutes left on the clock. All in all two points dropped for The Manor who if 11 stayed on the pitch would probably have won 5 or 6 nil.
