Billy
Cove has decided to
quit as the Manager of Eton Manor. Cove was appointed as Manager
in June 08 after taking over from Graham Chester, Cove spoke
of his sadness having to leave the Club that he played for
as a Teenager. Cove's last game in charge was against Barking
on Saturday, which saw the Manor lose by a slim 1-0 margin.
Cove spoke after the game, he said" It is with
sincere regret that my last game in charge of the Manor is
today, this is mainly due to work commitments, I therefore
resign from the Club that I have loved and played for since
I was 10 years of age.
When I was first approached by the Chairman I was honored
to take up the role. However, due to issues beyond my control
I feel it would not be right to try and continue if I am not
able to commit 100% of my time and focus.
I would like
to thank Reg Curtis and Alex Lee for the opportunity and wish
Eton Manor Football Club every success for the future"
Eton Manor senior Club
officials are currently reviewing applications from interested

Manor Manager Billy
Cove said after the game "We are a great team
for the neutral to watch, but goals win games not possession,
and I am finding it very frustrating that we are not killing
teams off early. I will be keeping my eye out for an out an
out old fashioned centre forward who knows how to put the
ball into the back of the net, as that is all I feel we are
lacking at the moment.
A special mention must go to Joe Ellul 'who
I thought was outstanding throughout the match and has got
a massive future ahead of him"

The
Manor will exited the
FA Cup on Sunday against Kingsbury London Tigers. Manor Boss
Billy Cove said after the Game "Well, we kicked off our
season with an away tie to Kingsbury London Tigers in the
FA cup. You would have thought it was the final with the way
that the home side were treating it. only wished my players
had treated it the same way. We dominated the early exchanges
but was restricted to long range efforts from Junior and Liam
Allen, our only shot on target coming in the 89th minute from
substitute Aliarni. The game was lost in the 50th minute,
we conceded a freekick just inside our own half and with everyone
napping they played a quick ball down the right side of the
penalty area, the winger drove an early cross into the box
and it was scrambled in at the far post. we got exactly what
